Method and apparatus for charging accumulators

In a method for charging accumulators, especially with a relatively constant discharging or charging voltage, an automatic full charge, avoiding overcharging, is achieved by discharging the accumulator to a predetermined minimum discharge voltage and subsequently charging for a predetermined time; a voltage comparator for the changeover from discharging to charging is used for this purpose.
