摘要 PURPOSE:To dispense with a special acceleration detecting device, by altering a variation of ignition timing and engine speed upon detection of a knocking signal on the basis of a state of acceleration, in case of a knocking controller controlling the ignition timing according to knocking intensity. CONSTITUTION:A knocking sensor 7 is attached to an engine and detects vibrating acceleration. The ignition timing is controlled by an integrator 8 acting in response to a knocking pulse outputted from this sensor 7 and an acceleration knocking pulse outputted from an AND circuit 13. Transient knocking in time of acceleration develops in many cylinders and the developing level comes higher and higher. Therefore, a state of acceleration can be discriminated out of the frequency of knocking occurrences. A transient knocking pulse is detected by a transient knocking detecting part 14 constituted of a pulse circuit 9, an FF10, an OR circuit 12 and an AND circuit 13. With this, a special acceleration detecting device is no longer necessary.
