摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simultaneously measure an acceleration and an angular velocity in one vibrator and further improve a detection sensitivity for the acceleration by reducing vibration noises of the vibrator when detecting a rotational angular velocity. SOLUTION: A rotational angular velocity and a linear acceleration of a system where the vibration type gyroscope is arranged are detected. The vibration type gyroscope has a vibrator expanding within a predetermined plane. The vibrator includes driving vibration systems 2A and 2B for exciting driving vibration within the predetermined plane, detection vibration systems 3A and 3B for detecting detection vibration within the predetermined plane which is generated to the vibrator by the rotation of the vibrator, a coupling part 1 for coupling the driving vibration systems and detection vibration systems, tuning fork type vibrating elements 9A-9H extending from the coupling part 1 which resonate at a predetermined resonant frequency, and fixing parts 7A-7D for fixing the turning fork type vibrating elements. The detection vibration systems are separated from the driving vibration systems. The rotational angular velocity is calculated by detecting the detection vibration, and linear acceleration is calculated by detecting a change in resonant frequency of the tuning fork type vibrating elements.
