PURPOSE:To prevent uneven coating of a toner, by gradually raising rotation speed and reducing fluctuation of pressure near a blade. CONSTITUTION:When a drum 1 rotates, a disc 7 rotates to chop the light of a light emitting lamp 9a, and a pulse signal of specified frequency is generated in a photodetector 9b. A sleeve driving motor shaft 11 is controlled with the pulse, and the relative speed between the sleeve 3 and the drum 1 becomes almost zero, and the most suitable development characteristics free from development direction, that is, the relative speed difference, can be obtained. A pulse controller 10 has a function of modulating the number of pulses in accordance with the lapse of time from the start of drive, and rotation speed of the drive motor 11 controlled with the pulses is gradually raised. |
