PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a facsimile terminal where an inexpensive circuit configuration can detect a facsimile network call signal in a low power consumption state so as to realize the low power consumption even by a low cost facsimile terminal. SOLUTION: A DSP(digital signal processor) 12b that conducts modulation demodulation processing of a modem section 12 decreases the frequency of a DSP clock in a standby state to bring a control section 13 into the low power consumption state. When the DSP 12b detects a facsimile network call signal in the low power consumption state, the DSP 12b issues a detection notice to the control section 13 brought into the low power consumption state. The control section 13 receiving the detection notice from the DSP 12b conducts wakeup processing to start reception control.
