PURPOSE:To obtain an information processor which is free from the limitation with the size of a user program even though the size of a control program is increased, by providing a means to produce a part of the selection information of a memory chip independently of an address. CONSTITUTION:A data is written to a bank selecting register 3 via a bus 7 and on the basis of an instruction given from a CPU. Thus the chip of an ROM6 is selected. If it is defined that an address decoding circuit 2 generates a chip selection signal only, only the data written to the register 3 is decoded. As a result, a program is fetched from a designated chip of the memory 6. Therefore it is possible virtually to store a program of a size several times as large as a memory chip into an address space equivalent to the capacity of the chip of the memory 6. |
