Producing textile-plastic laminate - by applying plastic, then textile to repellent carrier belt and heating under pressure to set plastic

The arrangement is intended for producing a textile-plastic laminate. A carrier (transport belt) with repellent surface is covered with a heat-setting plastic composition and a textile fibre layer applied thereon is bonded therewith under pressure and the plastic set by heating after which the laminate thus produced is separated from the carrier. Pressure and heat are applied simultaneously in the same area for a length of time sufficient to produce the required degree of setting. To this end, the belt may pass around a rotating heated drum, pressure being applied via an endless belt in contact with the underside of the belt as this passes around part of the drum periphery. The arrangement eliminates the need for a repellent paper carrier and prevents undesirable deformation of the textile, plastic and/or the paper experienced due to the higher pressure applied in that case and/or de-lamination when this pressure is released.
