A method for easily forming a pattern of feathers in making bird or beast toys is described. An aniaml figure is sculptured on a half side of a mold (1) making prominence and depression for fine feathers. A transparent resin is coated uniformly on the carved mold and hardened. A layer of some decorative fragments (5) (mother-of-pearl, copper plate, gold or silver foil, etc.) and a layer of asbestos-resin mixture (6) are attanched whereon successively. A complete shape of a synthetic resin-made toy with a vacant inside is obtained by combining two halves of the mold. The pattern of feathers is produced by sandpapering the prominence-depression points which is color-painted and hardened.
