PURPOSE:To eliminate a sound interruption during a shift between two tape recorders, by detecting the root part of the 1st cassette tape before the end of tape traveling and then using this detection signal to control the 2nd cassette to a driving start state. CONSTITUTION:The root part of the tape of a reel hub is detected before the end of tape traveling by an optical sensor 11 and through a tape amount display window 10a of the 1st cassette 10 when the tape reaches its termination. This detection signal is supplied as a starting signal to a control part 13 at the side of the 2nd cassette recorder II via a signal processing circuit 12. Then the recorder II is switched to a driving start state from a waiting state. In this case, the reproduced signals given from heads 14 and 15 are mixed together via reproduction amplifiers 16 and 17 and then delivered through an output terminal in the form of an output. As a result, a sound interruption can be eliminated when the 1st recorder I is switched to the 2nd recorder II. |
