PURPOSE:To enable printing in an arbitrary length of a continuous paper sheet without a margin within the length of the circumference of a plate cylinder, by rotating two or more plate cylinders synchronously with the feeding speed of the continuous sheet during printing, and by applying acceleration and deceleration control to the plate cylinders in the section of rotation from the ending of printing to the starting thereof. CONSTITUTION:Two plate cylinders 16a and 16b are arranged at a prescribed interval, and every second section of a continuous paper sheet 20 is printed alternately by these cylinders. When the plate cylinder 16a rotates and thereby the printing in a section A is ended (1)-(4), the plate cylinder 16b starts rotation (5) and performs the printing in a section B. At this time, the plate cylinder 16a shares the printing in an adjacent section C. The two plate cylinders 16a and 16b are kept under the same variable-speed control thereafter, each sharing the printing in every second section coming sequentially. |
