PURPOSE:To increase the effect of relieving a rise in pressure due to an increase in volume thereby to restrict deformation within a breaking limit, by loosely connecting reinforcing beams on tank side walls facing each other by means of a plurality of connecting members so that the tank side walls can be deformed in the expanding direction. CONSTITUTION:Adjacent horizontal reinforcing beams 11, 12, 13 secured, by means of welding, to outer peripheral side walls 1a, 2a and 2b, 3a facing each other, of tanks containing a plurality of unit transformers are loosely connected by employing connecting members 20. With respect to an external vacuum pressure applied when the tanks are simultaneously vacuum-oiled, since stoppers 22 come in close contact with corresponding contact members 21, deformation can be restricted within an allowable value by making use of reaction forces due to the rigidities of the horizontal reinforcing beams 11, 12, 13 welded to the opposing tank outer peripheral side walls 1a, 2a, 2b, 3a. Since the expanding deformation of the tanks taking place when the inner pressure rises continues until the stoppers 23 come in close contact with the corresponding contact members 21, properly setting the gaps between the stoppers 23 and the corresponding contact members 21 makes it possible to restrict the deformation of the tanks within a breaking limit. |
