PURPOSE:To dry forcibly a hot air furnace and a shaft furnace inexpensively without imparting any influence to shaft furnace side during operation, by sending a small amount of drying air into an air sending pipe to be dried from the air sending pipe of the shaft furnace during operation through a branched pipe. CONSTITUTION:With respect to a shaft furnace 1 and a hot air furnace 2 during operation, a branched pipe 8 is provided between the branch point P of the forward position of the flow meter 7 provided to an air sending pipe 5 supplying dry air through a dehumidifier 3 and the branch point P' connected to a shaft furnace 1' and a hot air furnace 2' to be dried while a valve 9 and an orifice 10 limiting an air amount to a small necessary amount are provided to the branched pipe 8. By this constitution, the drying of the shaft furnace 1' and the hot air furnace 2' to be dried is sufficiently carried out only by opening and closing the valve 9. In addition, because an air amount used for drying is extremely small as compared to the air amount used in operating the shaft furnace 1, almost no influence is affected to the pressure of a blower 4. |
