PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To guide a light beam to a photosensitive material after the beam is adjusted to the optimum light exposure in accordance with a temperature change of the photosensitive material and/or a humidity change and to exposure- record an image of stable quality. SOLUTION: The temperature (t) of a photosensitive material 32 in an image exposure-recording equipment 36 and the humidity H in a plate supplier 34 or the temperature (t) and humidity H of a part nearly equal to those are measured, light exposure P is calculated as P=P0/10a.Δt+b.ΔH on the basis of a temperature variationΔt to a base temperature t0, a humidity variationΔH to a base humidity H0, the optimum light exposure P0 at the base temperature t0 and the base humidity H0, a temperature coefficient (a) peculiar to the photosensitive material 32 and a humidity coefficient (b) and an image is exposure-recorded according to the light exposure P.
