PURPOSE:To prevent an original from intruding between a stopper and a placing glass, and being scratched during conveyance, and to enable exact registration, by using a notched roll for the stopper of the end of an original. CONSTITUTION:A sheet original fed onto an original placing glass 2 with a belt is detected at the end with a sensor, and then, its conveyance is stopped. The end of the original is positioned in a state contact between the end and the stopper 12 at that time. When exposure is finished, the conveyor belt is driven, the end of the original is pressed to the engaging face, and deviation of the conveyance direction is corrected. Then, a solenoid 29 is deenergized, a rack 26 is displaced with the force of a spring 28, and a gear 24 is rotated to release the original from the stopper 20. Since the stopper 20 has a roll form, the original is not scratched when it passes on it. |
