PURPOSE:To pump up a thermal medium in an expansion tank easily by a circulating pump when the operation of the circulating pump is started by previously setting up a path for priming for priming the thermal medium from the expansion tank to the circulating pump. CONSTITUTION:The path 14 for priming for priming the thermal medium 17 from the inside of the expansion tank 15 into the main body casing of the pump 12 is mounted to the lower section of the main body casing of the circulating pump 12 apart from a suction path 13 to a suction port 12b for the circulating pump 2 from the expansion tank 15 while an opening and closing valve 16 is interposed to the path 14 for priming. When the operation of the circulating pump 12 is started, the thermal medium 17 in the expansion tank 15 is filled up to a predetermined level in an impeller case 12a through the path 14 for priming when the opening and closing valve 16 is opened previously, and the thermal medium 17 can be pumped up easily to the suction port 12b through the suction path 13 when the thermal medium is filled up to the predetermined level even when the level is a level or less of the suction port 12b. Accordingly, the path 14 for priming is set up to the main body casing of the circulating pump 2 apart from the suction path 13 to the suction port 12b of said circulating pump 2 from the expansion tank 15, thus executing priming extremely easily by opening and closing the path 14, then improving the workability of the pump. |
