PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve certainty of work of an air bag safety device by improving outer appearance quality of a door trim and stabilizing an expansion load on a door for an automobile with a built-in air bag. SOLUTION: An opening 10a for expansion of an air bag 32 is formed on a door trim 10 installed on the inside of a door main body and covered by an air bag lid 20. The air bag lid 20 is constituted of a lid main body 21 covering a flexible back plate 22 by a skin 24 and an edge part skin 27 sewed on an upper edge of this skin by a thread strong enough to be broken by pressurizing force of the air bag 32, and it is installed in such a way to cover the opening 10a by fastening a lower edge of the lid main body 21 and an upper edge of the edge part skin 27 on the door trim 10 by making contact with a surfacg of the door trim 10. The door trim 10 connects a trim base 11 with an opening formed on it and a trim upper 12 to each other, it is favourable to install the edge part skin 27 by sandwiching it between connecting parts of both of them and the lower edge of the lid main body 21 by sandwiching it between an arm rest 13 and the trim base 11. |
