PURPOSE:To provide a recording apparatus allowed to be installed in a narrow required space and suppling an ink under stable supply pressure, constituted by providing an ink trough storing ink supplied to a recording element and an ink supply pipe integrally moving along with the recording element to supply the ink in the ink trough to the recording element. CONSTITUTION:An ink supply pipe 27 is moved in integral relation to a head 18 running to the direction of arrows R, L. With this movement, the end part 27B of the ink supply pipe 27 is moved to the directions of the arrows R, L to carry out the supply of an ink to the running head 18. Therefore, in the head 18, the emission of the ink from a nozzle is carried out on the basis of a drive signal supplied through a flexible wiring panel 24 and a desired image is formed on recording paper 11. In this case, the supply pipe 27 is different from a conventional flexible tube and there is no variation in the running load of a carriage 19 mounted with the head 18 caused by the supply pipe 27. Therefore, the required space for moving the supply pipe 27 is reduced. |
