PURPOSE:To prepare a thermally shrinkable tube without deformation, break and lengthwise elongation by expanding and shaping a blank tube by expansion under decompression. CONSTITUTION:A blank tube 1 is pulled out of a supply reel and wound on a winding reel through the heating section 2, the expanding section 3. Before the entry into the heating section 2, the blank tube 1 is coated with heat-resisting mold lubricant such as silicone oil. The blank tube 1 enters the expanding section 3 as it is heated and softened at the heating section 2 and then expanded by decompression. At this time, though the expanded tube comes in contact with the inner periphery of a shaping tube, the tube is free from break or the like because the blank tube is coated with mold lubricant. Additionally, the tube can be expanded under the optimum by controlling the pressure in the decompression chamber 9 through the decompression control valve 10. |
