PURPOSE:To provide a titled mold which enables continuous drawing at a high speed and improves productivity, by the constitution wherein plural mold pieces divided circumferentially are oscillated successively and periodically and a lubricant is supplied into the gaps formed during the oscillation. CONSTITUTION:A mold 5 provided to the tundish 1 of a horizontal and continuous casting installation is constituted of plural water-coolable oscillating mold pieces 10C... which are supported in a bracket 18 by means of a shaft 19 to the stationary part of said mold. The pieces 10C are oscillated at an amplitude (h) by means of a motor or the like (not shown) with the bracket 23, a link 24, an eccentric cam 26, etc., thereby giving the oscillation in parallel with the axial line direction of the ingot 7 having a width delta to the ingot 7 on the sliding surface 22 of a tundish nozzle 3 with a break ring 4. The supply of a lubricant in the space P formed in the stage of oscillation is made possible. The ingot 7 is oscillated radially if the position of the shaft 19 is properly selected. |
