The fruit enters the machine below a selector, immersed in water. The selector has movable levers (11), the upper supports of which pivot and move in a profiled guide (12) with height adjustable sections. The levers are worked by endless chains (13) to drive cross shafts which they carry and flexible rings (10). The levers have bearings which slide inside the profiled guide (12). There is a pointer (14) on a threaded rod to indicate maximum and minimum values acceptable for the passing fruit.
