PURPOSE:To eliminate the remaining of air bubbles in an ink chamber, by a method wherein an ink chamber receiving the action of an ultrasonic vibrator and an ink jet nozzle are provided and the contact angle of at least the inner wall surface of the ink chamber is set to 50 deg. or less. CONSTITUTION:By enhancing the surface energy of the inner wall of the ink chamber provided to an ink head, the entire inner wall of the ink chamber is brought to a state easily contacted and wetted with an ink to facilitate the flow of air bubbles from the interior of the ink chamber. In this case, the contact angle of the inner wall surface of the ink chamber with respect to water is set to 50 deg. or less. As a material constituting the inner wall of the ink chamber, one having relatively high wettability with water and a contact angle of 50 deg. or less with respect to water, for example, platinum, nickel, cobalt, titanium or silicon dioxide is suitably used and the one having a contact angle of 30 deg. or less is further suitable. |
