The contact (1) has a contact unit (10) that is formed as a contact pin and a contact bushing. A connecting unit (11) is connected with an electrical conductor in a fixed and detachable manner, and is formed on a carrier band (116). The contact unit and the connecting unit are formed as a separate unit and are connected with each other at connection areas. The contact unit is a hollow body formed by deep-drawing and the connecting unit is formed as a stamping part and bending part. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a contact.
