PURPOSE:To perform operation easily with one hand, by providing a changeover switch to an input pen which is brought into contact with the surface of an input board on which patterns and characters are displayed or printed, and selecting >=2 optional pieces of information from one position information. CONSTITUTION:The input pen 1 has a position detecting circuit 2 and is connected to the X-Y coordinate detecting circuit 5 of the input board surface 4. The output of the X-Y coordinate detecting circuit 5 is connected to a converting mechanism 6 or 7. A selecting circuit 8 selects the converting mechanism 6 or 7 corresponding to the switch 3 of the input pen 1 to perform display 10 through a code buffer 9. When the switch 3 is not operated, the converting circuit 6 is selected to perform conversion to, for example, two-byte codes (Chinese character) and when the switch 3 is selected, the converting circuit 7 is selected to perform conversion to, for example, one-byte codes. Thus, the operation is carried out with one hand to improve the operability. |
