PURPOSE:To prevent a lubricating oil from being deteriorated and to keep the lubricating oil of a power transmitting mechanism favorable at all times, by provoding a lubricating oil containing chamber with a cooling pipe. CONSTITUTION:The cooling pipe 61 is provided in a cooling chamber 41B, the surrounding water is introduced via one thereof extending to a hole 63 by dynamic pressure generated by the advancement of the outboard motor so that the introduced water flows through the cooling pipe 61 at all times. The lubricating oil whose temperature has been elevated comes in contact with the cooling pipe 61 and therefore is cooled, and when the lubricating oil returns to a gear chamber 41C, it is cooled enough. Accordingly, the lubricating oil is prevented from being deteriorated. |
