PURPOSE:To enable a relatively stable rotational action to be produced by preparing a rotary anode for an X-ray tube from a graphite member which has small variations between bending strengths of different directions. CONSTITUTION:In a rotary anode for an X-ray tube which is provided with a graphite member, when the origin of the Cartesian coordinate is set on the graphite member, the differences between the X-, the Y- and the Z-direction bending strengths of the graphite member are restricted to within the following range. that is to say, the differences between the X- and the Y-direction bending strengths, that between the X- and the Z-direction bending strengths and that between the Y- and the Z-direction bending strengths are restricted to within the range of -10-10kg/cm<2>. |
