FIELD: heating. ^ SUBSTANCE: proposed element for sprinkler or water catcher for a cooling tower is a meshed shell with a triangular profile. The tips of the triangular profile are rounded with radius of 8Ç10 mm. The side edges of the profile are interweaved with wavy threads. On one of the side edges, a solid plate is welded, with thickness less than the thickness of the threads. When assembling the sprinkler or water catcher block, elements in neighbouring layers are installed with the solid plate facing right or left, and displaced by 5Ç15 mm. The height of the triangular profile lies in the range 50Ç80 mm. Distance between layers lies in the range 10Ç15 mm. When assembling the block, solid plates are fitted at an angle 60Ç90 to the horizon. On one or two edges, three plates are welded with equal spacing. ^ EFFECT: increased rigidity of the structure of the sprinkler or water catcher, increased degree of water cooling, reduced droplet entrainment from the cooling tower. ^ 3 cl, 5 dwg |
