PURPOSE:To obtain a film almost free from a stain due to fingerprints and having superior adhesive strength to paint and superior hardness, by forming a chromate coating on the surface of a steel plate electroplated with zinc and a coating having a prescribed composition on the chromate coating while adjusting each of the coatings to a prescribed thickness. CONSTITUTION:A chromate coating is formed on the surface of a steel plate electroplated with zinc so as to adjust the amount of 10-60mg/m<2>. An aqueous fluid consisting of 106pts.wt. expressed in terms of solid matter of a dispersion of carboxylated polyethylene resin contg. 3-20mol% carboxyl groups and 10- 60pts.wt. expressed in terms of solid matter of colloidal silica is applied to said chromate coating and dried to form a coating so as to adjust the total amount of the upper and under coatings to 0.8-4g/m<2>. Thus, a film having superior adhesive strength to paint and superior hardness and almost free from a stain due to fingerprints is obtd. |
