<p>Complementary profiles for a pivotted window frame and a supporting static frame feature push fit tongue and groove profiles each comprising more than a half circle and of which each is intersected by a minor hemispherical channel aligned to accept a solid pin to lock the profiles positively together. The tongue profile is made of a firm but elastic material which can enter the undercut groove of similar radius. Pref. both profiles are made by extrusion. Unlike conventional ancillary hinges, provides continuous contact and a corresponding seal along the length of the pivotted edge.</p> |
