PURPOSE:To reduce the thermal stress generated on the joint surface between a main steam pipe and an outside casing by installing an apparatus for providing a swirl-flow component in the cooled steam, in an annular cooling passage between the outside casing and the outer periphery side of the main pipe. CONSTITUTION:A portion of the cooled steam flow 14 which is formed through a partial utilization of the turbine exhaust flow is introduced into an annular cooling passage 31 surrounded by an outside casing 10 and the outer peripheral surface of a heat shielding plate 22 which covers the outer periphery of a main steam pipe 21, and the steam is provided with swirl-flow component by a swirl- flow generator 24 and allowed to flow into the cooling passage 31. Thus, generation of the deflected flow caused by the unevenness of the shape of section of flow passage can be prevented. |
