PURPOSE:To perform high speed positioning of a step motor by dividing total pulse number into small groups, and employing a counter having less bit number, thereby reducing the cost and reducing the standby time of a microprocessor. CONSTITUTION:A control arithmetic unit 20 having a microprocessor applies a digital signal in response to the indicated pulse rate value to a D/A converter 21. The converter 21 converts it into an analog voltage and applies it to a voltage/ frequency converter 9. The converter 9 applies its output to an OR gate 10. The unit 20 applies a designated pulse number and a starting pulse to a counter circuit 22. Further, the unit 10 outputs a signal representing the rotating direction of a step motor, thereby allowing the OR gate 11 or 12 to outputs a pulse and rotating the motor clockwise or counterclockwise. |
