The fixture rail for loose timber structures has projecting components on one side in the form of lugs limiting transverse compartments in which boards, planks or beams are accommodated, with fixture by nails through holes in the rail. The rail pref. has in each compartment a further projecting component at a predetermined distance from one of its long sides. The further component locates against the end surface of the board, etc. This enables the rail to extend past the end surface with which it forms a channel in which a cross-tie and support plank can be nailed.
