PURPOSE:To raise the compression efficiency of a scroll compressor, by disposing a discharge reed valve at the opening area of a discharge port formed in a shroud of the scroll compressor. CONSTITUTION:The opening of a discharge port 24 communicated with a discharge chamber 26 is covered with a reed valve 35 fixed to the upper surface of a shroud 21. When compressed gas is discharged intermittently into the discharge chamber 26 via the discharge port 24 formed in the shroud 21 along with revolution of scroll vanes 15, 23, the reed valve 35 is opened by the gas pressure. On the other hand, when the compressed gas is not discharged, the opening of the discharge port 24 is closed by the reed valve 35 by the function of its rigidity and pressure in the discharge chamber 26, so that back flow of gas into a compession chamber is not caused. Therefore, it is enabled to increase the compression efficiency of a scroll compressor. |
