In a method for applying a fusible material 7 to the underside of a fabrication 1, the fabrication 1 is moved over a bead 10 of fusible material, which bead 10 is raised above the melting surface by means of a roller 3, which is arranged just below the fabrication and which rotates in the opposite direction to its feed direction. An apparatus for performing the method comprises a wet belt 4 in continuation of a net belt 2 for feeding the fabrication 1 over a roller 3, which is fitted in a gap between the net belt 2 and the wet belt 4, and which is partially immersed in a melting bath 7. The roller 3 is driven with a direction of rotation opposed to the said belts at a predetermined speed and at a predetermined interval from the underside of the fabrication 1. <IMAGE> |
