Roller blinds must have both aesthetic and functional properties. From an aesthetic point of view, the known roller-blind wall carriers are clumsy. The transmission parts are comparatively bulky and are difficult to produce. The invention reduces the number of parts required, offers a substantially narrower construction and nevertheless ensures a reliable operating capacity. This is achieved in that the bead-chain wheel is arranged in the inner space between the outer wall and the inner wall of the wall carrier, in that the circumferential wall of the wall carrier has an exit orifice at the exit point of the bead chains for each strand, and in that the bowl used in the known construction has only the height of a cup here. <IMAGE>
