PURPOSE:To obtain large compressing pressure without deforming the main bodies of rolls, by inserting shafts in hollow parts of the main bodies of the measuring rolls, and arranging bearings, which support said shafts rotatably, in the main bodies of the rolls. CONSTITUTION:In the upper side measuring roll I , the shaft 3 is inserted in the hollow part 2 of the main body 1 of the tubular roll whose length L is longer than the maximum plate width. The two bearings 4 are coupled in the hollow part 2 of the main roll body 1, with an interval that is approximately the same as the minimum plate width (l) being provided, so that the shaft 3 can be freely rotated. The lower side measuring roll II has the main body 5 of the tubular roll having the length L longer than the maximum plate width. Plates 8, which are fixed to the end parts of the inserting sides of shafts 7, are coupled to the hollow part 6 of the main roll body, with an interval that is approximately the same as the minimum plate width (l) being provided. Each shaft 7 is supported by a frame 9b through a bearing 13 so that the shaft can be freely rotated. A pulse generator 10 is connected to the one shaft 7. |
