PURPOSE:To obtain thin continuous foam-molded body with uniform density by a method wherein expandable resin particles are filled from the end of a metal mold in a mold cavity and foam-molded and, after that, the thick part or overfilled part, which is formed near a filler, is cut-off. CONSTITUTION:The filler 7 of expandable resin particles is provided at the uppermost end of the cavity mold 1. Expandable resin particles are filled through the filler 7 into the interior of the mold cavity 4 formed by the cavity mold 1 and a core mold 2. Next, the expandable particles filled in the mold cavity 4 is expaned by heating with steam and then cooled and, after that, the mold opening is performed by shifting the core mold 2 and the mold release is performed by extruding pins 8 in order to obtain a foam-molded body. The desired molded piece is obtained by cutting-off a portion A, because the portion A corresponds to the portion of the filler 7, while the particles existing in the portion of which are poorly fused together with each other due to over-filling. |
