PURPOSE:To improve productivity and to prevent damage of tooth forming section in extruding gears by putting plural gear materials in a tooth forming die, inserting a mandrel through center holes of gear materials, and pressing by a sleeve punch. CONSTITUTION:A mandrel 36 and a sleeve punch 38 of a press forging machine 39 are raised and four gear materials 2a-2d having axial holes 1 are inserted into a through hole 22 of a container 21. The lowermost material 2a stops on the upper end guide section 20a of the tooth forming section 20 of a die hole 19. Under this condition, the mandrel 36 is passed through axial holes 1 of four gear materials 2a-2d. Then, by lowering of a subslide 27, the sleeve punch 38 presses the gear materials into the die hole 19. Perfect tooth form is formed on previously inserted gear materials 2a, 2b, and gears are formed and extruded from the die hole 19. By repeating this process, gears are extruded two by without damaging the tooth forming section 20 due to impact of the sleeve punch 38. |
