PURPOSE:To avoid the printing of unnecessary symbols, in the electronic equipment with the printing device wherein the printing can be made on roll shaped printing paper and sheet shaped printing paper which is placed on a desk, by detecting the changing state of the roll paper and the sheet paper, and changing the printing accordingly. CONSTITUTION:When a numeral is inputted to a keyboard KB, the numeral is detected in an operating pert U, and the numerical value data is stored in an RAM part based on control information from an ROM part. When an operating symbol is inputted and switching levers SR and SW select the roll paper, a decimal point is automatically inserted, the printing is performed including the decimal point by a step motor M, a type wheel KD, and the like. Meanwhile, when the switches are turned to the sheet paper side, judgement as to whether the numerical value is an integer or not is performed. In the case of the integer, the decimal point is not inserted, and the unnecessary decimal point is not printed on the sheet paper. |
