Liquid jojoba oil derivatives, process for the preparation thereof, and lubricant compositions containing these derivatives

A product of the reaction of phosphorus pentasulphide and jojoba oil, an extreme-pressure lubricant additive which contains this reaction product, and a lubricant oil composition which has improved extreme-pressure properties and essentially contains a paraffinic or naphthenic lubricant oil and the additive indicated above, are described. Also described is a process for the preparation of the product of the reaction of jojoba oil and phosphorus pentasulphide, which comprises the reaction of P2S5 with jojoba oil.
