PURPOSE:To prevent a toner from flowing out and scattering, and to prevent staining the inside of a machine with a simple constitution, by installing a magnetic roll on the lower part of a scraper of a cleaning device, and an elastic guide on it. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic roll 13 is provided on the lower part of a scraper 12 of a cleaning device and in the vicinity of the surface of a latent image carrying body 11, and is turned in the direction as indicated with an arrow G. A guide member 15 consisting of a non-magnetic elastic body is made to press with the roll 13. A residual toner peeled and removed by the scraper 12 is attracted magnetically to the magnetic roll 13, is scraped by the guide member 15, and is stored in a toner collecting part 18 by its empty weight. In this way, since a peeled toner is carried by the magnetic roll 13 and a magnetic line of force is generated in a clearance of the outside circumferential part of the roll 13 to prevent securely the toner from flowing out and scattering to the outside of a device, and staining the inside of a machine. |
