PURPOSE:To make it possible to perform high density transfer, by providing a transfer member between recording paper and an ink sheet, transferring the ink dropped from the ink sheet on the transferring member, and transferring said ink again on said recording paper. CONSTITUTION:The ink sheet 2 is supplied from an ink sheet supplying roll 7A and passes between a thermal head 3 and a transferring roll 4. At this time, the temperature of a heating body 3A is rapidly elevated and the ink is melted. The melted ink is transferred to the surface of the transfer roll 4. The melted ink is transferred to the surface of the transfer roll 4. The transferred ink layer 2A is sent to the side of the recording paper 1 with the rotation of the transfer roll 4. When the ink layer 2A reaches the part beneath the press roll 6, the excitation of a solenoid 9 is released, and the press roll 6 compresses the recording paper 1 to the transfer roll 4. In this way, the transfer ink layer 2A is transferred again on the recording paper 1 from the surface of the transfer roll 4. |
