PURPOSE:To forcibly discharge water sucked up by a vertical drain by inserting the projection of the vertical drain into the bottom of a horizontal drain material formed by inserting a water-absorptive and permeable net pipe into a water impermeable cylinder. CONSTITUTION:A long cylinder 1 made of a flexible, water-impermeable, and gas-impermeable sheet material is formed, and two flexible, pressure-resistant long plastic net pipes capable of absorbing water from its surface are inserted into the cylinder 1 to form a horizontal drain. Then, in forming the horizontal drain, a notch 3 is formed on the bottom of the cylinder 1, and the projection 4 of vertical drain projecting on nearly straight line is orderly inserted into the bottom. Afterwards, banking is provided and consolidation is made. In this case, one end of the horizontal drain is closed, the drain is evacuated from the other end by means of a vacuum pump in order to accelerate the improvement of deep layer. |
