PURPOSE:To prevent an error, by providing a depolarizer right before a detector and compensating background absorption with extremely high accuracy. CONSTITUTION:Light emitted from an atomic spectrum light source (hollow cathode lamp etc.) 1 is turned into linearly polarized light by a linear polarizer 2. The linear polarizer 2 is rotated around an optical axis at 1,800rpm. The light is irradiated to the photoelectric surface after the polarized light is depolarized completely just before a photomultiplier. By such a constitution, the accuracy of background compensation is improved remarkably and the compensation of <0.3% error at 1.5 absorbancy is made possible even in case when a part of a luminous flux section is adsorbed by the background. |
