The double-apron drafting unit contains a feed pair (1) and a draw-off pair (2). The fibre material to be processed runs through between two endless aprons (3, 4) of the feed pair (1) which rotate synchronously on the driving roller (5) and the pressure roller (7). The endless apron (3) possesses a fixed guide (6) which lies along the direction of movement of the fibre material (9) to be processed. The endless apron (4) possesses a movable guide (8) which is located on the exit side of the fibre material to be processed out of the feed pair (1) into the draw-off pair (2). The movable guide (8) is arranged, with the possibility of jolt-free angular displacement, in the vertical planes which lie both in the transverse and in the longitudinal direction relative to the movement of the fibre material (9) to be processed, in order to guarantee a continuous regulation of the size of the gap (27) between the endless apron (3, 4) in the exit zone of the fibre material (9) to be processed out of the feed pair (1). <IMAGE>
