<p>An improved process or method for the preparation of pharmaceutical grade biologically and physiologically "active" chondroitin sulfate, predominantly chondroitin sulfate A, chondroitin sulfate C, and mixtures thereof from source material comprising forming a solution from the source material containing said "active" material, adding thereto a complexing agent to form a precepitate which is a water insoluble complex of the active material and the complexing agent, and breaking said complex to recover the pharmaceutical grade "active" material.</p> |
