PURPOSE:To reduce harmonic current at the input power source side by dividing a cycle converter in a unit group into the first and second groups, and controlling the phase angle of the input voltage different at the prescribed angle. CONSTITUTION:Cycloconverters 21 and 22, 23 and 24, 25 and 26 respectively have substantially equal loads in the same configuration. Phase transformers 701, 702, 703 are respectively inserted into one of the unit groups of these cycloconverters. Accordingly, the phases of the input voltage to the cycloconverters 21, 23, 25 are displaced in the phase of the input voltage to the cycloconverters 22, 24, 26 at the prescribed phase angle. |
