PURPOSE:To enable an engine to operate smoothly at the time when it begins to be accelerated from a fuel cut condition by a method wherein an electromagnetic fuel injection valve is driven by a drive means temporarily and forcibly at the time of fuel cut operation, in response to the opening of a throttle valve from its fully closed condition. CONSTITUTION:When a fuel cut circuit 4 interrupts the passage of a reference pulse, the output of a fuel cut detecting circuit 10 is at H-level and an idle switch is ON. In the above condition, when the switch 5 goes OFF through the operation of an acceleration pedal, the output of an ON-OFF detecting circuit 11 goes to M-level for a predetermined period of time. On the other hand, the output of the fuel cut detecting circuit 10 continues to be kept at H-level even if the switch 5 goes OFF since the reference pulse is impressed on the output terminal of the circuit 4 with a certain time delay. Accordingly, a high level drive pulse corresponding to a fuel injection pulse is generated from an AND circuit 12 so that a drive circuit 8 operates the electromagnetic fuel injection valve 9. |
