PURPOSE:To correct the bias feeding of an original without curving the same by providing a correcting roll in the direction approximately at a right angle to the advance direction of the original, and moving either one of the right and left thereof in the direction intersecting with the advance plane of the original. CONSTITUTION:A correcting roll 3 is supported pivotally in parallel with conveying rolls 2 for originals in the rectilinear advancing part for originals where the rolls 2 are disposed. When the biased feeding of an original 1 to, for example, a left side is detected during the conveying, a solenoid 7r on the right side is operated to pull the right side of the roll 3 upward after the preceding end of the original 1 is nipped by the rolls 2 on the discharge side. Then, the left side edge 1l of the original 1 is conveyed as it is, and the right side edge 1r of the original 1 is curved upward and the original 1 is displaced rightward by as much as a difference between the lengths thereof. The bias feeding of the original 1 is corrected by controlling the operation time of the solenoid 7r on the right side according to the deflecting angles of the original 1. |
