摘要 PURPOSE:To achieve a manufacturing cost reduction in a telescopic type soot blower adapted to inject an air or steam out of a nozzle port defined at a top end of lance tube, by arranging such that 360 deg. sweep can be effected in a desired pattern around the lance tube, without giving the lance tube any rotational movement. CONSTITUTION:A steam to be fed to a feeding tube 8 acts upon a sliding valve 302 inserted into a top end of lance tube 7, giving the valve 302 a thrust force toward a top end of lance tube, while at the time being injected out of a nozzle port 314 of the lance tube. In this case, a steam pressure provides the sliding valve 302 a continuous force toward a top end of lance tube 7, and since this thrust force is equalized by a tension of wire 301 connected with the sliding valve 302, the sliding valve 302 is caused to move forwardly and backwardly upon the wire 301 being tightened or slacked. During this travel of the sliding valve 301, a slit 310 progressively establishes its communication with nozzle ports, and lets the steam to be injected toward an opened direction of nozzle port for performing a soot removal of boiler tube. By selecting a fast or slow rotational speed for a crank 305, a timed period for injecting the steam can be set in each direction at will.
