PURPOSE:To get rid of influence of a difference of centrifugal force due to size of a diameter of a material to be inspected, by placing a counter weight on the joint side of gimbals, and providing a spring for holding the gimbals, on the opposite side of the counter weight. CONSTITUTION:On an arm 8 having a tailrace, a flange 19 is provided, from which a universal joint 20 is projected, and one side of gimbals 21 is coupled. Also, on the opposite side to the joint 20 of the gimbals, a spring 22 is provided between the joint and the arm 8, and the length is limited by an adjusting rod 23. The spring, however, is not fixed. Also, on the side of the joint side of the gimbals 21, an arm 24 is provided, and on its tip, a counter weight 25 whose weight corresponds to a holder 26, a shoe 27, a probe 28 and the gimbals 21 is provided. The holder 26 and the gimbals 21 are coupled by a shaft 29 and are freely rotatable round the shaft. From the tip of the arm 8, a stopper 30 is projected so as to hit against the gimbals. By this constitution, in the joint 20, the left and right parts are balanced entirely, and a difference of centrifugal force is not received at all. |
